GARDEN CITY, KS. – Here at the end of October, some Broncbuster sports are winding down, while others are raring to open their new seasons.

The Garden City Community College Coach’s Show returned live from Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom on Thursday night. One team ready to open up their playoff run, another starting their final home stand of the season, and one making their final touches to tip off a great season.

Soccer wrapped up its regular season with a pair of matches against Kansas City Kansas. Head coach Corey Bryant led off the show to talk about the end of the season on the men’s side, while the women prepare for a playoff rematch with the Blue Devils on Saturday.

Football returns home for the first time in over a month on Saturday. The Broncbusters host Ellsworth in week 10 of the season, head coach Tom Minnick joined next to talk about his team’s impressive game against Hutchinson last weekend.

The Rusty Elmore era got off to a great start last season as the Broncbusters finished 21-9 last season. GCCC’s second-year coach finished up the show to discuss his brand-new lineup and what to expect going into this season.

The men open up their new season on Wednesday against McCook Community College at Conestoga Arena.

Thank you so much to coaches Bryant, Minnick, and Elmore for joining the show. As always, a special thank you goes to Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom for their great hospitality.

The Garden City Community College Coach’s Show will be off the next two weeks due to scheduling conflicts with basketball at Conestoga Arena. The show will return on Thursday, November 16th at 7:00 P.M. on KWKR 99.9 ‘The Rock’.
