GARDEN CITY, KS. – It’s a big week at Garden City High School, with the biggest school rivalry coming back to Garden City.

Buff Talk returned live from Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom for Hatchet Week. The Buffaloes football team hosts bitter rival, Dodge City, on Friday for a massive week seven matchup.

The show opened with Buffaloes’ soccer coach, Jose Vital. GCHS boys soccer has gotten off to a phenomenal start at 9-2-2, including big wins over Wichita Heights and Great Bend this month.

14th-year head coach Brian Hill joined next to talk about an important Hatchet Game matchup. Hill discussed his team’s 42-11 win at Ulysses last Friday, and some of the craziest moments this rivalry has to offer.

Finally, senior football starters Ethen Allen and Sebastian Lopez joined the show to talk about their favorite Hatchet Game memories and Senior Night at Buffalo Stadium.
