GARDEN CITY, KS. – October is upon us, which means fall sports is coming down to the business end for Garden City High School.

Buff Talk returned from Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom on Monday night with a pair of fall sports coming down to the wire.

Cross country juniors Hayden Nemechek and Cate Wiese opened up the show talking about their experiences. Both are coming off top-five finishes at Royal George in Colorado, and shared what their favorite running conditions are.

Cross Country’s head coach Krista Linenberger joined shortly after, highlighting her team’s 2023 season and the training that goes into each meet for the Buffaloes.

Finally, Buffaloes football has had more success in the passing game this season with a plethora talented receivers. I talked with assistant coach C.J. Covington about his relationship with his receivers and the growth of the Buffs’ Freshman and J.V. squads.
