Lebo outlasts Norton to take the Scott City Invitational title

Scott City, Kan. (westernkanasnews.com)–It was the largest field of teams on Saturday at the Scott City Invitational, as 10 teams comprised of this year’s tournament, four more from previous years.

Lebo, who is currently the No. 1 ranked team, and defending Class 1A, Division II Champions, would go 5-0 on the day, as they defeated Norton in a thrilling three-set match to win the tournament title. Norton’s unbeaten run in Pool B put them in the championship match. They would be the second place team. TMP Marian knocked off Scott City in the third place match in the third meeting between the two teams on the season. Both teams went 3-2 on the day.
