GCCC Coach’s Show, 9/28
GARDEN CITY, KS. – The Garden City Community College Coach’s Show aired for the final time in September on Thursday night from Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom.
The show opened with volleyball head coach Patrick Hiltz discussing his team’s 2-1 stretch over the last week. Coach Hiltz discussed breaking a 21-game losing skid to Colby, and a big return for one of his sophomore leaders.
Garden City football travels to No. 15 Dodge City for a big rivalry game on Saturday. Second year defensive coordinator Chenelle Jones joined the show to talk about handling the rivalry matchup, and buzz about the Broncbusters’ strong defensive line.
Fall baseball opened play last weekend at Williams Stadium, with new Broncbusters – including shortstop Gabe Judah – taking the field for the first time. Judah joined with GCCC baseball head coach Caleb Cox to discuss the team outlook on the diamond.
Thank you to coaches Hiltz, Jones, and Cox, as well as Gabe Judah, for joining the show. Special thank you goes to Old Chicago for their great hospitality.
