Syracuse man dies in rural Gray County accident

Gray County, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–A man from Syracuse was died in a two-vehicle accident Monday morning, just before 10 am in Gray County.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol report, a 2015 Dodge pickup driven by 38-year-old Tyson E. Good of Montezuma was southbound on 15 Road, when he collided with an eastbound 2004 Cadillac SUV on County Road DD driven by 74-year-old James G. Brucker of Syracuse. The collision was in the middle of the intersection of 15 Road and County Road DD.

Good, and passgenger, 34-year-old Blake M. Schulte of Montezuma were uninjured in the accident. Both were not wearing seatbelts.

Brucker was taken to St. Catherine’s Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. It was unknown if he was wearing a seatbelt, according to the KHP report.
