Garden City Community College Coach’s Show, 9/7
GARDEN CITY, KS. – With football truly back in the air, the Garden City Coach’s Show aired live on Thursday night at Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom, packed to the brim with Kansas City Chiefs fans.
The show started with Broncbusters football defensive coordinator Chenelle Jones, discussing his defense’s strong first two weeks and preparations for No. 2 Iowa Western this coming weekend. The Broncbusters are set to face off with the Reivers this coming Saturday at 11:00 A.M.
Soccer head coach Korey Bryant came on to discuss a pair of wild games against Seward County earlier this week. The women’s team came from two goals down to win, 3-2, while the men’s team also erased a two-goal deficit to finish level, 2-2, with the Saints.
Finally, we introduced new women’s basketball head coach Greg Franklin, who joins the Broncbusters after winning over 280 games during his tenure at Chipola College in Florida. Coach Franklin discussed his time with the Indians, and what it takes to lay the foundations for a title winning program here in Garden City.
Special thank you’s go out to coaches Jones, Bryant, and Franklin for joining the show. Another huge thank you goes out to Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom for their tremendous hospitality.
