Scott City man arrested after theft and damage at football field
Scott City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–A Scott City man was arrested after taking rolled mats and damaging equipment at the high school football field.
Just before 9 am on Tuesday, August 29, the Scott City Police Department responded to a theft call that had occurred at the football field. The reporting party had informed the officer that a large brand-new roll of mats was missing. Upon further investigation, damage was also found on some equipment at the field.
After a thorough investigation, the Officer was able to locate the suspect later that day and make an arrest. A portion of the missing property was also located and returned to the School District.
Jack Lavonne Glass, 52, of Scott City, was arrested for theft and criminal damage to property. Glass was transported to the Scott County Jail and has bonded out of jail. The Scott County Attorney will be prosecuting the case.
