Kendall man injured in Ford County semi-truck accident
Ford County, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–A Kendall man was injured Thursday evening around 6:30 in an accident that involved two semi trucks.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2006 Peterbuilt driven by 33-year-old Damon Bahntge of Kendall was traveling westbound on U.S. Highway 56 at U.S. 400, when he failed to yield right-of-way, and made a left turn in front of an eastbound 2005 Kenworth driven by 54-year-old William Toney from Alabama.
The trucks collided at the intersection.
Bahntge was taken to St. Catherine’s Hospital in Dodge City for suspected serious injuries. The report indicates he was not wearing a seatbelt. Toney and passenger, 52-year-old Donna L. Jones of Sandy Springs, Georgia were also taken to St. Catherine’s Hospital for suspected minor injuries. Both Toney and Jones were wearing seatbelts.
