Dodge City woman injured in Gray County accident

Gray County, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–A Dodge City woman was injured Thursday morning in a two-vehicle accident east of Cimarron in Gray County. 

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol Report, a 2022 Ford F250 driven by 24-year-old Saul Guerra-Montelongo of Great Bend and a 2012 Ford Fusion driven by 47-year-old Bridget Marie James of Dodge City, were westbound on U.S. Highway 50, approximately four miles east of Kansas Highway 50. Guerra-Montelongo attempted a U-turn and failed to yield to James, as James struck the Guerra-Montelongo vehicle.

James was taken to St. Catherine’s Hospital for a suspected serious injury, while Guerra-Montelongo was uninjured.

Both involved were wearing seatbelts, according to the KHP report. The accident occurred just before 8 am Thursday.
