Garden City Police arrest man on attempted murder charges

Garden City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–A Garden City man was arrested on Sunday in connection to a stabbing incident.

According to a released from the Garden City Police Department, 44-year-old Jemie Mehammed, faces charges from the incident.
 
On Sunday, Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of College Drive for a fight. When Officers arrived, they found a 36-year-old man had been stabbed and beaten. Through the investigation, Mehammed was identified as the suspect and taken into custody.
 
The victim was transported to St. Catherine Hospital and later flown to Colorado due to the extent of his injuries.
 
Mehammed was lodged in the Finney County Jail on the charges of Attempted Second-Degree Murder and Aggravated Battery.
