Drainage improvements to begin Monday
Garden City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–The City of Garden City will be working on drainage improvements along Fulton Street, beginning Monday, June 26.
Work on the drainage improvements on Fulton Street between Washington and Center Streets will begin impacting traffic from 2nd to Anderson Street. This project is a partnership with the Kansas Department of Transportation.
The project will be completed in the following phases, a map of the area can be found in the graphics below. Business access will be maintained via Fulton, side streets, or alleys.
A timeline for the project includes:
June 26 – July 7: One-lane traffic in each direction of Fulton.
June 26 – July 7: One-lane traffic in each direction of Fulton.
July 7 – 12: Traffic reduced to a single lane near Ballinger for both directions. Ballinger will be closed at Fulton.
July 12 – October: One-lane traffic in each direction. Side streets will be closed one at a time as work progresses westward to Washington Street.
October – December: One lane open in each direction.
