Train derailment near Dodge City causes road damage
Ford County, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–The Ford County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that a train derailment caused major road damage, just east of Dodge City.
Traffic has been reduced to two lanes of travel, as the westbound lanes are closed. Delays are expected.
Citizens have been asked to consider an alternate route if you plan on traveling east on Trail Street towards Ft. Dodge, and west U.S. Highway 400 if you are traveling from Ford to Dodge City.
Cargill is open for employees.
Railroad crews have been contacted and are on the way for repairs.
