Minor injuries in Finney County accident

Finney County, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–A Garden City man was injured Monday, following a two-vehicle accident at around 7 pm in Finney County.

According to the report from the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2016 Nissan Juke driven by 34-year-old James McGowan of Garden City, and a 2012 Kenworth driven by 39-year-old David Andrew McCullough of Del Rio, Texas were both eastbound on U.S. Highway 50 at milepost 63, when McCullough had stopped at the railroad tracks and was getting back up to speed. The McGowan vehicle would rear end the McCullough vehicle just east of the railroad tracks.

McGowan was taken to St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City for suspected minor injuries, while McCullough was uninjured.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts, according to the KHP report.
