Project to begin soon on U.S. 50 Business/Fulton Street in Garden City

Garden City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–Traffic changes are scheduled to start mid-June in Garden City along U.S. 50 Business/Fulton Street from Washington Street heading east just short of Center Street.

This project consists of storm sewer/gutter improvements and the replacement of the concrete pavement where the improvements will be made. New permanent pavement markings will be placed throughout the project. Motorists should expect delays of 5-10 minutes, reduction of the speed limit to 20 mph, lane shifts and a width restriction of nine feet until the conclusion of the project. The lanes shift will be marked by signs and cones.

Smoky Hill LLC, of Salina, is the contractor on this $2.2 million project, which is expected to be completed by the end of October, weather permitting.
