Resurfacing project to begin in Stanton and Grant counties
Grant & Stanton Counties (westernkansasnews.com)–A resurfacing project is set to begin on U.S. Highway 160, that will impact traffic in Grant and Stanton counties.
Traffic on U.S. 160 in Stanton and Grant counties will be reduced to one lane starting Tuesday, May 16, from the K-27 / U.S. 160 junction east to the west city limits of Ulysses, according to the Kansas Department of Transportation.
This highway preservation project consists of a chip seal and micro surfacing. Traffic will be reduced to one lane and directed by flaggers and a pilot car through the work zone. Delays up to 15 minutes should be anticipated.
Work will take place throughout daylight hours. U.S. 160 will be open to normal traffic when construction is not taking place.
Vance Brother, of Kansas City, is the contractor on this $2.5 million project. Completion is expected by the end of July, weather permitting.
