Scott City takes WaKeeney-Trego Regional title

WaKeeney, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–The Class 3-2-1A Regional Tennis meet wrapped up in Wakeeney on Friday. On the tournament’s final day, Scott City knew they would have their entire team qualified. The Beavers would close out the tournament with a regional championship, which is their second consecutive.

Scott City won with 23 points, and had a regional championship from their doubles team of Avry Noll/Sage Stoecklein, as they defeated teammates Dylan Duff/Dante Franco in the title. Central Plains was second with 13 points, as Peyton Ryan was the Singles champion.

Cimarron was able to qualify their doubles team of Landon Housman and David Mendez, while Meade qualified Vincent Lynn in singles and Orvil Dyck/Samuel Lynn in doubles.

The Class 3-2-1A State Tennis meet will take place May 12-13 in Wichita at Riverside Tennis Complex.
