Scott City golf takes home invitational

Scott City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–It was a good day for golf on Friday at the Scott City Invitational Golf Tournament, held at the Scott Community Golf Course. Temperatures hovered around 60 for most of the meet, as it dropped, and a breeze came up at the end of the meet. Scott City would take the home meet, while Lakin would be in second place.

The Beavers would finish eight shots better than second place Lakin, while Colby took third. Tucker Metcalf for Ulysses would have a big day, taking the top spot with a score of 71, while Scott City’s Dylan Metzger was second with a round of 74. Overall, there were four players who shot under 80.
