South Gray takes Holcomb Golf Invitational
Garden City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–You couldn’t have asked for a better day for golf on Monday, as several area schools made their way to Buffalo Dunes for the Holcomb Invitational Tournament.
The South Gray Rebels would take the top spot that featured 12 schools with a team, as they had three golfers in the top 10. They shot a team score of 325, five shots better than Turpin, OK, who had a round of 330. Scott City was third, and Syracuse was fourth.
There would be a five-way tie for first place, as Scott City’s Jackson Rumford, Bryson Parker & Jordan Riddle of Turpin, Cameron Wahl from South Gray, and Elkhart’s Gavin Schumacher. They each shot a round of 76.
