Traffic stop leads to arrest for drug possession

Garden City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–Garden City Police Department Officers arrested two individuals after drugs were found in a vehicle.
 
Just after 6 am on Tuesday, Officers of the Garden City Police Department and the Garden City/Finney County Joint Drug Task Force conducted a traffic stop in the 3700 block of E. Schulman Avenue.
 
Officers made contact with 25-year-old Jessica Esparza-Gallegos of Garden City, and 26-year-old transient Rodolfo Garcia. After further investigation, a search of the vehicle was conducted, where suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were located. Esparza-Gallegos and Garcia were arrested at the scene.
 
Esparza-Gallegos and Garcia were lodged in the Finney County Jail on the following charges Possession of Methamphetamine w/ Intent to Distribute, felony Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
