Minor injuries reported in Gray County accident on Monday

Gray County, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–A two-vehicle accident resulted in minor injuries Monday evening in Gray County.

According to the report from the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2007 Dodge Ram driven by 66-year-old William Snyder of Arapahoe, Nebraska was southbound on Kansas Highway, when he failed to yield and struck a westbound 1999 Ford Expedition driven by 55-year-old Steven Shackles of Silverthorne, Colorado, who was westbound on U.S. Highway 56. 

Passengers in the Shackles vehicle, 59-year-old Kenneth Shackles of Bayfield, California, and 57-year-old Troy A. Shackles of Whitewater, Colorado, were transported to St. Catherine’s Hospital for minor injuries. They were not wearing a seatbelt according to the KHP report.

Steven Shackles was wearing a seatbelt, as was Snyder.

Neither of the drivers were injured.
