Four Scott City wrestlers compete well at Abilene Invitational girls tournament
Abilene, Kan. (westenkansasnews.com)–The Scott City Lady Beaver wrestling team sent four wrestlers to Abilene on Thursday to compete in the Abilene girls invitational.
All four wrestlers would place in the top four of their divisions on Thursday, in their toughest tournament of the season.
MacKayla Miller would take 1st at 235 pounds, winning all four matches by fall, including over a state semi-finalist she defeated last year in Class 4-1A. Johnna Sowers was first at 155B, while Ashlyn Pazdernik was second at 140A and Brooklynn Gossman place fourth at 115A.
The team will compete at Hoisington on Friday. Wrestlers who didn’t go to Abilene will be headed to Hoisington.
