Syracuse man arrested after foot pursuit
Syracuse, Kan. (Hamilton Co Sheriff’s Office)–On Friday night at approximately 11:08 pm, the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a white Nissan Xterra stopped in the middle of the south bound lane on Kansas Highway 27 and County Road 31. The driver was passed out in the drivers seat with open alcoholic beverages on the front seat. The drive was awakened and took off on foot through a field with a temperature of six degrees. Additional units were called and the driver was located 20 minutes later and was taken into custody.
The driver was identified as Edwin, Danilo Bueso Jeronimo of Syracuse, Kan. Jeronimo did not possess a valid drivers license. He was charged with DUI Interference with LEO, no drivers license and transporting an open container of alcoholic beverages.
All subjects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
