Dodge City teen injured in Ford County accident
Ford County, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–A Dodge City teen was injured Monday morning in a single vehicle accident at approximately 7:23 am.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol report, the 17-year old from Dodge City was westbound on US Highway 50, 5.4 miles west of the US 50/US 400 Highway junction, when they went left of center on the roadway, entering the south ditch for approximately 361 feet, where it went airborne over railroad tracks, and struck a four-wire barbed wire fence. The 2016 Chevy Cruze came to rest in a field facing southwest on its wheels.
The driver was taken to Western Plains Regional for their injuries, and the report indicated the driver was wearing a seatbelt.
