Stanton County’s Farnham signs to run at Washburn

Johnson, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–Stanton County has been a powerhouse in distance running for quite some time. They’ve sent many athletes to run at the next level.

Coming off helping her team win their fourth consecutive Class 2A Cross Country title, Stanton County senior Suzanne Farnham signed her letter of intent to compete in cross country and track at Washburn University in Topeka.

Farnham finished 16th in this year’s state cross country championships. Last spring, she was second in pole vault and 7th in the 800M run to help the Lady Trojans pick up a third place finish at the Class 2A State Track & Field championships.

She is planning on majoring in medical imaging or nursing.
