Goodland repeats as GWAC volleyball champions

Ulysses, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–In the final Saturday before sub-state, the seven GWAC teams made the trip to Ulysses for the annual Great West Activities Conference tournament. For the third straight season, the Goodland Cowgirls would take the tournament title, and the overall league title. 

Ulysses would put up a 4-2 record on the day and finish 9-3 overall, Holcomb finished third overall in the league, as they went 3-3 on the day. 

Sub-State play will take place on Saturday, as Hugoton and Ulysses are in Class 4A Sub-State, while Cimarron, Colby, Goodland, Holcomb and Scott City will compete in the Class 3A, Goodland Sub-State.
