Tribune, Kan (WesternKansasNews.Com)  – With competition from online retailers cited as one of the
primary reasons, the locally owned and operated hardware store of 34 years, Dixon True Value in Tribune, is going out of business and selling everything including fixtures.

Referred to by many locals as the ‘Wal-Mart’ of their rural area, the store offers a wide variety of hardware, lawn & garden, electrical, plumbing, power tools, paint & accessories, electronics, auto supplies, guns & ammo, toys, gifts, cosmetics, soft goods, school supplies and more. The store closing sale is being managed by www.RetailSalesPro.com and launches with regular prices discounted up to 50% off.

After being the owners for 34 years, Kellee and Chris Dixon, have decided that the frustration of trying to compete with Amazon is too difficult and closing their store would be the first step toward retirement. After unsuccessfully trying to sell the business they decided to hold an organized store closing sale which will include all inventory, fixtures, and equipment. “This has been a very emotional decision and the hardest one we have had to make in our career” Kellee said. “What I will miss the most is the customers we’ve been able to serve, the great employees and the overall environment of the business, but it will be nice to spend time doing other things without worrying about the everyday details of the business” she continued.

An organized store closing sales event for the store launches privately on Wednesday, July 20th from 8AM to 7PM, and open to the general public on July 21st from 8AM to 6PM. Regular store hours are Monday to Friday 8AM to 6PM, Saturday 9AM to 5PM, and closed Sundays. Dixon True Value is selling everything in the store until it’s gone, including all fixtures and store equipment. The pharmacy and coffee shop, also located inside the building, will remain in business. The store is located at 422 Broadway Ave in
Tribune, KS.
