Dighton women injured after T-Bone collsion with Semi
Dighton, Kan (WesternKansasNews.Com) – A Dighton women is in the hospital after an accidnet in Dighton Wednesday monring. The crash happened around 11:15 AM in the intersection K4 and Elm street.
According to the KHP, a 2016 Ford SUV operated by Ausitn Handy, 18, Dighton, was Southbound on North Elm when a 2016 Freightliner driven by 41 year-old Daniel Maske of Hill City was Eastbound on K4. The SUV failed to yield the right of way at the posted stop sign for Southbound traffic. The SUV struck the driver’s side of the Freightliner as both vehicles came to a rest in the intersection.
Handy was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the Semi was not injured. Handy was not wearing a seatbelt according to the KHP.
