Wichita County crash leaves 2 dead

Leoti, Kan (WesternKansasNews.Com) – The Kansas Highway Patrol says two individuals are dead following an accident in Wichita County Tuesday afternoon.

According to the KHP, the crash happened just before 5 pm on County Road H and County Road 15, or 3 miles East of KS-25.

A 2001 Chevy Tahoe driven by Andrew Gomes, 23, Scotty City, was Eastbound on County Road H. A 2019 Ram 3500 operated by Landon Koehn, 43, Marienthal, was Northbound on County Road 15. The Tahoe failed to stop at the stop sign and yield the right of way to the Ram 3500. Both vehicles impacted in the intersection, coming to a rest Northeast of the intersection.

The KHP says neither driver was wearing a seatbelt in the accident.
