Crack seal to begin on U.S. 283 in Hodgeman County

HODGEMAN CO, KAN (WesternKansasNews.Com) – The Kansas Department of Transportation will begin sealing cracks along U.S. 283 from Jetmore to Ness City on May 2.

U.S. 283 traffic will be reduced to one lane through the project area which is from the north city limits of Jetmore heading up north to Ness City. One-lane traffic will be directed by flaggers and a pilot car through the work zone. The lane reduction will be marked by signs and cones. Motorists should be aware of delays of up to 15 minutes and plan extra time in their travel schedules. When construction is not taking place, U.S. 283 will be open to normal traffic.

Pavement Pros of McPherson KS is the prime contractor and has scheduled this $124,167 project to be completed by the end of May, weather permitting.
