Driver Crashes Into Apartment Complex In Garden City
GARDEN CITY, Kan (WesternKansasNews.Com) – On April 3, 2022, at around 2:55 P.M., Officers of the Garden City Police Department, Garden City Fire Department and Finney County EMS were dispatched to 305 W. Mary Street (Garden Spot Rentals) for a possible injury accident involving a vehicle that drove into a building.
Upon arrival, Officers observed a Toyota Camry with front end damage in front of Building #D. The investigation revealed that the driver, identified as Nafizullah Radmanish (22), Garden City, KS, was pulling into a parking space near an apartment and accidentally pressed on the accelerator instead of the brake, causing the vehicle to go over the curb and into Building #D.
The apartment was unoccupied at the time of the accident. Radmanish and a passenger were not injured in the crash, and there were no other injuries reported.
The apartment was assessed for damage and deemed to be livable. The total estimated damage to the apartment complex is $10,000.00.
