GCCC Mohamed Diarra named NJCAA All-American, 11th in school history
GARDEN CITY, Kan (WesternKansasNews.Com) – After posting two solid seasons with the Broncbusters, Mohamed Diarra was named NJCAA All-American First Team Wednesday morning. The announcement comes after Diarra posted 20 double-doubles, averaged 17.8 per game, and led the nation in rebounds per game (12.6). Mohamed becomes the first All-American in school history since 2009.
Earlier this season, Diarra was named first-team all-conference, after leading the Jayhawk Conference in rebounds, rebounds per game, and blocked shots.
Mohamed committed to the University of Missouri last week after the Tigers announced a new head coach, Dennis Gates. Gates recruited Diarra, who was the first official recruit for Gates.
Diarra is now the 11th All-American the GCCC Broncbusters have produced.
