Multiple Fires Reported In Western Kansas Amid Dry Conditions
GARDEN CITY, Kan (WesternKansasNews.Com) – Multiple counties have already reported grass fires after the National Weather Service announced a red flag warning earlier in the day.
The first fire was reported in southeast Hodgeman County just to the southwest of Hanston. At 10:50 A.M. Hodgemen County Sherriff made a statement asking residents who live south of Hanston, to start evacuation plans.
The second fire was a hay bale fire south of Deerfield that got out of control. Kearny Co Fire Dept is on scene reporting multiple structures in the line of this fire moving to the east.
Finney Co Fire is on the scene to assist.
