Scott City wrestling takes down Cimarron
Scott City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–Thursday night saw the final tune up before regional next weekend for Scott City and Cimarron wrestling, as they met up inside the Scott Community Events Center for a dual. The night saw five seniors being recognized in their final home competition, and also had youth wrestlers from the Scott City Takedown Club and Gray County Wrestling Club.
Scott City would win seven of the nine head to head matches in a 69-6 dual win. The Beavers also won both of the exhibition matches and the SC takedown Club won nine of the 11 matches wrestled.
Both teams will see their girls programs compete in the Class 4-1A Regional at Colby High School on Saturday, while Cimarron will head to the Class 3-2-1A regional in Norton February 18-19 and Scott City will be at the Class 4A regional in Abilene February 19.
