Area schools in this week’s KBCA rankings
Garden City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–The Kansas Basketball Coaches Association released their latest rankings on Tuesday, as the final month of the regular season takes shape.
Dodge City remains in the polls in both the boys and girls. The Lady Red Demons check in at No. 8, while the boys are No. 4 in Class 6A. Liberal girls are ninth in Class 6A. Hugoton has both their teams in the rankings, as the girls moved up to No. 2 in Class 3A, while the Eagle boys remain at No. 10. The Holcomb boys moved up to No. 7 in Class 3A. Elkhart is No. 7 in the Class 2A Girls rankings. In Class 1A, Division 1, Hodgeman County is No. 1 on the girls side, while their boys are seventh, and the South Gray boys are ranked No. 2. For Class 1A, Division 2, the Ashland girls are ranked eighth, while there are three area boys teams ranked, with Greeley County, Bucklin and Dighton ranked fourth through sixth.
