Broncbusters Move to #21 in Latest NJCAA Poll
GARDEN CITY, KS (WesternKansasNews.com) – On Monday, the National Junior College Athletic Association released the latest Men’s Basketball rankings for the 10th week in a row.
For the first time in over 10 years, the Broncbusters received a national ranking placing them in the 21st spot. This ranking didn’t come without meaning. Since the Broncbusters returned from their Christmas break, they have went on a 6 game winning streak that has seen two top 25 victories, as well as a revenge victory on defending national champions, Coffeyville. Coffeyville handed the Broncbusters their first loss of the season back in November in a 2OT showdown in Conestoga Arena following the 2 game suspension on the top prospect of Mohamed Diarra, and assistant coach Bobby Naubert.
The Broncbusters now set their sites on the Independence Pirates in yet another revenge matchup. The Broncbusters will host the Pirates Wednesday night in Conestoga Arena in their final meeting with Justin Mann and his group from Montgomery County. The Broncbusters are scheduled to tip at 7:30 with women’s action prior.
