Scott City’s Myers inks with Kansas Wesleyan
Scott City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–Bella Myers has always enjoyed playing tennis throughout her high school career. Not only has she enjoyed it, and has been good over her career, she was part of one of the most successful runs in school history.
On Monday, the Scott City senior made it official by signing her letter of intent to play tennis at Kansas Wesleyan University in Salina.
Myers played doubles for three seasons, teaming up with Sadie Hermosillo, and qualified for the state tournament three straight years. They also placed the last three seasons, and finished seventh with a 31-7 record at the 2021 Class 3-2-1A State T0urnament in Maize in October. She was part of the best finish in school history, helping lead the team to a fifth place finish, and were just two point shy of third place.
At Kansas Wesleyan, Myers will major in Biology.
The Lady Coyote tennis team made their way to the KCAC semi finals in the 2020-21 season, and finished the year at 8-7.
