6th annual Wind and Wheels Festival coming to Wichita County.
Leoti, KS(westernkansasnews.com) Wichita County is gearing up for the 6th annual Wind and Wheels Festival on April 21. Giant kites, a car show, music, bouncy houses, and food vendors are just some of the highlights this year.
The festival is from 9 a.m.- 2 p.m. at the Wichita County Fairgrounds. Wichita County Sheriff’s department will conduct car seat checks in the afternoon. The festival will also feature a medallion hunt for kids and a cash grab.
Kicking off Wind and Wheels on April 20 will be Midwest Dueling Pianos performing a fundraiser for Wind and Wheels at the Wichita County Fairgrounds. Ticket are $40 each or $160 for a table. Wichita County Economic Development Director Diana Kirk said the fundraiser is important for the festival.
“We strive to keep Wind and Wheels a mostly free event, the only thing that costs is the bouncy houses, everything else is free, but the proceeds go right back to Wind and Wheels to keep bringing the event to Wichita County every year and make it bigger and better,” said Kirk.
