Finney Co. Commissioners Make Cuts on 2018 Budget

Garden City, KS(westernkansasnews.com) The Finney County Commissioners held a regular meeting yesterday that included a budget workshop for 2018. The commissioners were able to cut the budget but still have a slight increase according to commissioner Dr. Bill Clifford.

The reason for the increase still stem from the economic downturn of the mid 2000’s. The budget increased for the sherriff’s office to hire more deputies and improve county buildings among other reasons. Clifford on some of the most important parts of the new budget.

The budget will be finalized at the August 21 meeting.
