56th annual Rocky Welton Tournament

Garden City, Kan (westernkansasnews.com)-It’s only fitting that the best wrestling team in the state gets to host the most prestigious tournament in Kansas.

The 56th annual Rocky Welton Invitational begins on Friday at the New Garden. Arkansas City is back to defend it’s title. Schedule and teams are listed below

Pueblo East-CO, Monte Vista-CO, Newton, Canon City-CO, Scott City, Bear Breek-CO, Doherty-CO, Ponderosa-CO, Dodge City, Garden City, Baca County-CO, Ulysses, Hays, Emporia, Great Bend, Arkansas City, St. James, Andale, Hugoton, Eagle Crest-CO, La Junta-CO, Pine Creek-CO, Pueblo West-CO, Lewis-Palmer-CO, Holcomb, Fountain, Ft. Carson-CO, Scottsbluff-NE, Maize, Sand Creek-CO and Chaparral.

Weigh-In 7:00 a.m. – Auxiliary Gym

 

Coaches Meeting 8:00 a.m. – GCHS Auditorium

 

Skin Check 10:30 a.m. – Tunnel below bleachers

 

Round 1 – Championship Round    – 11:00 a.m. (5 mats)

Round 2 – Championship Round 2 & Consolation Rd 1

Round 3 – Championship Qtr Finals

Round 4 – Championship Semi Finals –        6pm (2 mats) *

                   Consolation Round 2            –        6pm (3 mats)
