Community Survey Results Discussed in Scott City Community Conversation

Scott City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–About 70 community members attended the Scott City Community Conversation Monday night in the commons area at Scott Community High School. The community conversation, led by Liz Sosa from Public Square Communities, Inc., was generated around results from three areas of a survey that was distributed in the community. Those included the youth quality of life, personal and community engagement, as well as community assets.

For the surveys that were compiled, community pride and a strong presence of traditional institutions were rated at 85.1% of good to excellent, while emphasis on quality in business and community life came in at 82.7%.

Sosa has made several trips to Scott City for community interviews and to assess survey results. This was the second community conversation Scott City has had.
