Scott City PD arrest man after bank burglary

Scott City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–The Scott City Police Department have announced the arrest of a man who broke in to First National Bank.

Just after 7 a.m. Thursday morning, members of the Scott City Police Department and Scott County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the First National Bank for a report of a Burglary.
 
A joint investigation began and through that investigation, 21-year-old Ronnel Escobar-Martines was arrested on the charges of Burglary, Theft, Criminal Damage to Property, and Interference with Law Enforcement.
 
This Investigation is currently on-going and will be forwarded to the Scott County Attorney for prosecution.
 
We greatly appreciate the assistance of the Scott County Sheriff’s Office in this Investigation and also to the people that reached out with information for this incident.
 
*The person(s) involved has not yet been convicted of a crime and are presumed innocent. The presumption of innocence shall continue until such time that the person(s) accused may be found guilty by a court of law. Charges may be amended at the discretion of the County Attorney and Court. *
