Beeler woman injured in Ford County accident

Ford County, Kan. (westernkasnasnews.com)–A Beeler woman was injured just before 5 p.m. on Wednesday, in a two-vehicle accident.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol report, a 2011 F250 Super Duty driven by 21-year-old Trace Everett Tasset of Spearville was northbound on 127 Road, when he failed to stop at a stop sign, and was struck by a 2001 Ford Expedition driven by 54-year-old Marcetta Dee McGovern of Beeler, who was westbound on Jewell Road.

McGovern was taken to St. Catherine’s Hospital in Dodge City for suspected serious injuries. She was not wearing a seatbelt. Tasset was uninjured and was wearing a seatbelt, according to the KHP report.
