Crews will begin a mill and overlay project on U.S. 56 at the Morton/Stevens county line and continuing west 8.9 miles on Monday, June 11, weather permitting.
U.S. 56 will be reduced to one lane guided by a pilot car during working hours. KDOT urges drivers to be alert, pay attention to all work zone warning signs, slow down when approaching a work zone and be prepared to stop.
Venture Corporation of Great Bend is the contractor on this $1 million project which is expected to be completed in July, weather permitting.
