2012 GCCC Basketball Pepsi Classic Opens Today at DPAC-Audio

Garden City, KS (www.westernkansasnews.com) – The 2012 Garden City Community College Basketball Pepsi Classic opens today at Dennis Perryman Athletic Complex with four games on tap each day on Friday and Saturday. Six additional teams, 3 for the women and 3 for the men along with the Busters will play a total of eight games over the next two days.

The women’s teams include Dodge City, Howard College, Big Spring, Texas and Frank Phillips College from Borger, Texas. For the men its Kingdom Prep from Johnston, Iowa, North Platte, Nebraska and Seward County. The opening game at 1:30 on Friday has Dodge City women playing Frank Phillips, for the men its North Platte facing Seward County. Then at 5:30 the Lady Busters will host Howard College and the men will close out the night at 7:30 in a match-up with the hot shooting Kingdom Prep Academy from Johnston Iowa averaging 113 points per game.
