2 killed in, 1 injured in Finney County Crash
FINNEY COUNTY, Kan. — Two people were killed following a two-vehicle accident in northern Finney County on Wednesday afternoon.
The accident happened around 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of Jenny Barker Rd. and Mead Rd., about 20 miles north of Garden City.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2018 GMC Sierra driven by Christian Victor Westregard, 47, Scott City, was headed eastbound on Mead Rd. approaching the intersection when he collided with a northbound 2017 GMC Sierra driven by Joe McNally, 50, Memphis, Tenn.
Westregard’s vehicle hit McNally’s vehicle on the driver side between the two axles. McNally’s vehicle then engulfed in flames and rolled over on it’s top.
McNally and his passenger, Jimmy Martin Sherlock, 57, Memphis, Tenn. were both killed in the fiery crash. Westregard was taken to St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City with a possible injury.
