2 dead after vehicle collides with cow in Logan County

LOGAN COUNTY – Two people are dead after a vehicle accident that occurred around 3:30 A.M. Monday morning in Logan County.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2005 Jeep Wrangler, driven by Raymond H. Kennedy, 45, Glendale Arizona, was Eastbound on U40 near mile marker 43. 

The Jeep collided with a cow that was on the roadway. The driver attempted to break to miss the cow and ended up swerving, entering the North ditch. 

The Jeep then rolled an uncountable amount of times, coming to a rest on its passenger side facing South. 

Kennedy and a passenger Brenda G. Carrasco, 54, Peoria, Arizona, were pronounced dead at the scene and were transported to Baalmann Mortuary. They were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
